post-professional program in athletic training
the ms in athletic training, post-professional concentration is designed to prepare certified athletic trainers for a variety of teaching and leadership roles at the college/university level. the curriculum facilitates the development of clinical and/or teaching skills and techniques.
as a student in the athletic training master’s degree program, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in a research project that is faculty supervised (directed research) or student-driven (thesis).
the application deadline for admission is january 15 of each year. certified athletic trainers are eligible to apply annually for one of four graduate assistantships with applications also due by january 15. additional application requirements apply. one year of experience as a boc-certified athletic trainer is preferred. students must and possess current cpr/aed certification. all applicants must be in good standing within boc and nata, as well as fulfill requirements for state licensure.
